Community Q&A Meeting Minutes - May 14, 2026
By Community Team - Spirit 2.0 Hub

Key updates from our impromptu Q&A session including financial backing news, bid timeline, and community decisions.

An impromptu Q&A session was hosted by Hunter on 5/13/26 to provide critical updates and answer community questions.

**Executive Summary:** We've secured significant financial backing, with a clean energy fund ready to backstop our bid with up to $800 million by next week. The bid team is rapidly forming, and our official bid will be finalized and submitted to bankruptcy court by Monday. The LCA's critical role (like veto power and executive compensation approval) is being solidified.

## Timeline

**This Week:** - Complete and lock down the first airline executive for the bid team - Implement pledge verification via Discord bot - Establish the early formation of the bid team (chief pilot, chief mechanic, chief flight attendant, CFO, possibly CEO)

**Early Next Week:** - Close the five million dollar fund for legal fees - Finalize and formalize the bid for bankruptcy court - Announce the bid, early board, and QB team

**After Bid is Placed:** - Begin activating accredited investors' pledges into an escrow fund via DealMaker - Spin up the LCA - Begin activation of pledges with LCA online and with the model validated - Start interviews immediately after placing the bid

**By End of Month:** - Begin pre-selling memberships (contingent on structure and legality)

**Ongoing:** - Consult co-op experts on membership ownership and dividend structure - Model the co-op structure - Figure out independent oversight of the escrow account - Amplify the message and encourage pledges - Recruit a social media team/manager - Form an OSINT team - Activate the vote channel for official votes

## Community Decisions

During the Q&A session, the following topics were voted on or agreed upon:

**Mainstream Media Engagement:** It was agreed that no mainstream media interviews would be conducted until an official bid is submitted to the bankruptcy court.

**Non-Voting Finance:** There was agreement to pursue a model where finance partners would be non-voting, allowing a path for the people to pay off institutional finance.

**CEO Selection:** The process for selecting the CEO was agreed upon: nominated by the board of the Inc. and then verified and voted on by the LCA.

**LCA Veto Power:** It is incredibly important and agreed that the LCA should have veto power.

**Member Interviews:** Consider guaranteeing an interview for members who apply for positions within the company.
